Wax Lyrical

We could wax lyrical about the genius of the Mini Babybel. Ubiquitous to lunch boxes the world over, it is the perfect product to make play from its packaging - the sensory experience of revealing the cheese by slowly peeling it open, then softening the shell from the warmth of your hands whilst you eat your snack and in no time a mound of malleable amusement. Madame Tussaud, look out!
The above images came to us through a flickr search. They are some of the more unusual examples of Babybel wax creations.
Following on a sculptural theme…

Hi
Whilst looking for some PR for our cheese wax recycling project (http://glengilchrist.tumblr.com/post/1193638592/cheese-wax-recycling-update) I came across your post. Nice collection of sculptures.
I wonder what we can add to the wax to "set" it to make it a more viable and permanent fixture?
Cheers

Hello Glen.
That sounds like a great project you have going!
There is plenty of advice online for how to remove cheese wax (from clothing etc) but not much about how to make it stronger. Perhaps just keeping the wax as cool as possible will keep things a little more robust...
