Constructions made with cardboard often follow a familiar rectilinear pattern. It is very possible that this is a natural progression from how we are used to seeing the material cardboard - in the form of a box.
So, we make box houses, box cars, box castles and box costumes. Variations on this theme abound, even within the constraints of the box… thanks to the ingenuity of children and adults alike.
There are many further ways to challenge and push this creativity, and here is one of them.

You may be familiar with Buckminster Fuller’s fondness for the geodesic dome. The people behind the Domebook bring us step by step instructions on how to create a range of domes out of commonly available household materials.
See more on their website here, in a charming 1950s aesthetic that will ensure you feel like you’re embarking on an authentic futurist endeavour.
