Springybark - An AMAZING Event
Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 5:37 PM
Winding paths, surprise openings, towers and tunnels… the Makedo maze at Knox City’s Stringybark Sustainability Festival challenged and delighted makers of all ages.

It started small, with individual structures each displaying a personality all of their own. From cubbies and castles to forts with moats, the donated cardboard boxes were soon transformed into a fantasy land as diverse as the makers themselves.
Before too long these were linked by a network of tunnels and pathways that spread in all directions to fill the room from wall to wall. Cutout characters stood proudly alongside colourful murals and messages left by those who had successfully navigated the maze.
You can get a taste of the energy of the event in a short video on our facebook page.
Many thanks to all of the kids (and their patient parents) who came to build, to decorate, to play and to lose themselves in the Makedo maze at Stringybark Sustainability Festival.
It was truly magical.
