Hi SImone.
Thanks for your question about the practicalities of makedo when it comes to interacting with the creations.
The makedo re-clip is made from nylon, which is very flexible and our design does not have sharp edges that can cut or scratch the skin. So even though the exposed pins look quite pointy, they actually bend out of the way when you touch or brush against them!

With the box cars you make that the kids sit in...how do you protect the kids from scratching themselves on the sharp bit that is sticking inside the box..is it made of soft flexible rubber...do you provide caps that seal over the top..or do these get bent like split pins...
