Sometimes it takes a dedicated local resident to take measures into their own hands when it comes to sending powerful green messages.

Such was the case in the leafy suburb of Elwood, Melbourne… where a plane tree who lost its limbs in an extreme pruning operation was given new growth opportunities.    A slightly bizarre sight, this artificially enhanced survivor is refreshing in its own way as spontaneous greenery bursts from the planters every spring.
