Reverberating Reuse

Creative ways to reuse everyday items - that sounds like music to our ears. Folk singer Goslink is certainly feeling the rhythm from his home in Rotterdam with this unique collection of recycled musical instruments.

It all began quite innocently when he adapted standard musical equipment to better suit his particular needs. This proved to be so straightforward that he continued to experiment, building various stringed instruments and even a complete drum kit.
Materials for construction are sourced partly from existing musical instruments, which are then supplemented with all manner of discarded items he finds on the street.
Unlikely objects such as mouse traps join bowls, boxes, containers and pencils to become quirky instruments that make music out of trash.
