Relaxing Giant

When faced with a vacant lot and its piles of discarded domestic material, Jim Darling put his own personal touch in to creating a new resident for the neighbourhood.   With a little help from friends, he dragged all of the waste into one area…

to build this character who now rests in silent contemplation.

 

It is great to see creativity such as this emerging from the forgotten areas of Suburbia.   Perhaps Jim Darling’s work will inspire others to add non-destructive moments of whimsy to the vacant land in their own towns and cities.
