Harvest Workroom: MakeUP
Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 9:09 AM
Melbourne’s State of Design festival is here once again, and the calendar is full of events to inspire and engage all forms of creativity across the design industry.
There are more than a few that have caught our attention, but one event in particular is the MakeUP series of workshops. Running through July 23 - 31 at the Harvest Workroom, these fun workshops are based around the principles of reusing and upcycling materials.

It’s just the kind of thinking that gets us excited. Amongst the list of workshops that will be a part of the MakeUP series, there are a few familiar names…
Harvest Textile’s Upcycling Vintage Wallpaper, Greg Hatton’s Make Your Own Willow Chair, Leila Sanderson’s Make A Mini Teepee , Maryann Talia Pau’s Weaving With Fabric, Betty Jo’s Make “Glaminex” Brooches and Nikki Gabriel’s Construction Knitting Using Upcycled Wool.
Head down to meet the workshop facilitators at the opening event:
Friday, July 22 from 6:30 - 9pm
Harvest Workroom, 512 Lygon St East Brunswick.
