Five Favourites from Nuremberg

Although the crowds have dispersed and the stands are all packed away, we are still buzzing after receiving a fantastic response to makedo at Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg.

Today, we would like to show you five other products that really caught our attention. With so many variations on how to approach creative play, there are sure to be fun times ahead for the young (and perhaps also the young-at-heart).

In no particular order…

1. Rekubus Top Speedy
A wooden top with a special twist, this magnetic spinner provides opportunity for kids of all ages to create their own games. Different tasks are built around guiding the top through paths and custom designed courses.
Take yourself for a spin with Top Speedy.

2. Stocs
An innovative product from the Netherlands, Stocs are one of the most elegant construction kits we’ve ever seen. Consisting of rigit rods encased in lengths of rope, the simplicity of Stocs is perhaps its greatest strength. You really can build anything you want… and learn a whole lot along the way.
Kids will go nutty over knots with Stocs.

4. Kendama

A Japanese game of skill, this traditional favourite has been lovingly reinvigorated. The goal may appear simple; but the task requires focus and skill. There are many ways to play Kendama, and almost limitless tricks and combinations to discover.
Learn more about the elegantly addictive Kendama.

4. Triqo - the fun of intelligent playing
This unique construction toy entices makers of all ages to build ever larger and more complex forms. Consisting of two base shapes that come in ten fantastic colours, Triqo stimulates the imagination and encourages learning about structures and spatial relations.
Head to the Triqo website for the full, colourful story.

5. MYZOO Transforming Toys
Wooden animals are an age-old favourite. MYZOO goes beyond lions, tigers and bears to enable kids to build an imaginative menagery of creatures. Animal parts connect together using embedded magnets, so your lion can merge with a cow and a monkey to become the fantastical …liowmon?
Explore the wilderness of MYZOO.
