Cardboard Mechanics Installation
Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 5:56 PM
It’s no secret that we are kind of fond of cardboard here at makedo. We can’t get enough of the stuff, and once we have our hands on some we use it over and over again. So you can understand our excitement when we saw the work of four students from the Utrecht School of Art and Technology.
Using an interesting combination of laser-cut cardboard forms, this mechanical installation comes to life thanks to some nifty programming know-how. What it’s all about may still be open to interpretation, but these guys have certainly shown us a few new ways to have serious fun with cardboard.
See more videos of the project from student Saskia Freeke.
First spotted on the Ponoko Blog.
