Cardboard Jewellery

What are these intriguing objects? Are they the cogs and inner workings of some machiavellian cardboard machine… or perhaps something far less sinister?

They are, in fact, examples of cardboard jewellery from Israeli designers Yael Gaizler and Aviv Kinel of Carton.

The range of accessories, including earrings and necklaces, are made from an elegant combination of cardboard and precious metals.

The way that the familiar cardboard structures and textures have been utilised as objects of beauty helps to lift this everyday material to become something uniquely precious.
