Bowerbird takes flight

A highlight of the design calendar in Adelaide, South Australia, the inaugural Bowerbird Bazaar will be held at Queen’s Theatre from October 9-11. As a showcase of Australian design driven art & wares, it will provide fertile ground for the growth of a makedo tree.

Seeking to bring awareness to the public about the amount of disposed materials in our daily lives, visitors will use makedo to clip their coffee cups to the branches, which will steadily bloom into a majestic tree during the course of the show.
With an address in Playhouse Lane, it sounds as though they’re off to a good start before the show even begins.
Bowerbird Bazaar is an initiative supported by Craftsouth.
