A Box Life

Boxes are known to be always around when you don’t need them, and impossible to find when you do. The numbers of boxes that are discarded after a single use is quite staggering, particularly during the silly season. To address this, Columbia Sportswear has introduced A Box Life. With the goal of keeping cardboard boxes in use for longer, this clever program encourages a personal way for people to engage with the concept of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

Through a tracking sticker, people can discover just how far their box has travelled… and the end-of-use is also considered on the website with a question that sounds familiar to us:
Think of all the things an imagination can do with a box…
Head over to A Box Life to see how hundreds of boxes have been reused to travel nearly half a million extra miles. A simple idea that is off to a great start.
